About Me

Since moving to the Bay Area 8 years ago from Colorado, I've found my happy place cooking and exploring new restaurants in the Bay and beyond. I love reading, learning and watching anything related to the culinary world. Figuring out how food, cultures, people and politics come together is my jam. There's nothing better than a hearty debate among good friends about whether you'd pick rice or noodles... to eat for the rest of your life. #TeamRice all the way!

When I'm not in the kitchen, you can find me trying to be a yogi, trying the newest restaurant with my friends, taking pictures of my food wherever I might be eating, rooting for the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Buffaloes, getting boba with my girls, traveling with my #teamrice boyfriend or plotting my next food based adventure.

Food Heroes: David Chang, Roy Choi, Samin Nosrat, Chrissy Teigen, Dominique Crenn, Gabriela Camara, Gaggan Anand, Nancy Singleton Hatchisu, Anthony Bourdain, Julia Child and my mom and grandma Daisy.

Favorite Cookbooks: Cravings by Chrissy Teigen, Japan by Nancy Singleton Hatchisu, Salt, Fat, Acid Heat by Samin Nosrat, Momofuku by David Chang (and all Lucky Peach books), Essentials of Italian Cuisine By Marcella Hazan, anything by Olenghetti. I also love reading Anthony Bourdain’s writing. I truly believe everyone can benefit by learning how to cook a good omelette and chopping all their garlic by hand.

It turns out that good food is that link.

You and I may not believe in the same things or

share the same politics, but we can both appreciate

a delicious meal. Food can’t cure all the world’s

ails, but it’s a start. If we can share a meal,

maybe we can share a conversation too.
